The Middle Colorado River Watershed Plan is a blueprint for action.

The Watershed Plan, establishes a framework for protecting the long-term health of the Watershed. It outlines existing and potential issues and offers a roadmap for reaching solutions. The council compiled this plan with community participation aimed at fostering public-private partnerships; focusing on the protection of water quality, promotion of efficient water use, and improvement of watershed health.

The Watershed includes all the tributaries that flow into the mainstem of the Colorado River from the top of Glenwood Canyon to DeBeque. Thinking on a watershed scale brings together water managers, land managers, industry leaders, and municipalities that rely on water.
